I wanted to add Howl's Castle and Laputa in the back, but the pic started to get too hectic-looking...

And that building on the bottom isn't just any random Asian structure to make the piece more oriental, it's the bathhouse from Spirited Away. XD

are those textures you used for clouds and patterns in the background? I ask because I recognise that cloud pattern from somewhere else, though not sure where I seen it. I'm currently looking to find some nice asian style patterns for something I'm working on at the moment. can you point me to where I could find such things? ^^;

Well I have to say that it is very impressive and that Ilike the flavors of Miyazaki you've chosen for this. its a definite summer time portraits IMO.
